Push your creative boundaries in workshops with experienced tutors and experimenters. In three intensive sessions you will discover new dimensions of AI and create unique works. There will be room for experimentation, idea sharing and feedback in a small group of like-minded colleagues.
Register for the workshop early. The capacity is limited.
Workshop #1
9:00-12:00
In our workshop we will use the power of artificial intelligence to create an original print on textiles. In TinkerCAD we will design a stylish wallet. We will demonstrate how to print a wallet on a 3D printer with a sample print. We will fold the printed wallet and take it away as a finished product. The workshop will be led by Linette Manuel and Barbora Rakovská, the founders of Makeful.
Linette Manuel started her career at IBM, where she worked on the education of artificial intelligence through the robot TJBot. After several engagements at startups, she co-founded CODE Rebels, which has helped hundreds of children in the Czech Republic develop a love for programming. With a passion for fashion, she went on to study Textile Science at postgraduate level in the Netherlands and today combines her knowledge of AI, 3D printing and textiles at FashionTech.
Barbara Rakovská focuses on biomaterials and sustainable design. She completed her postgraduate studies in Textile Science in Barcelona, where she researched textile design and sustainability. She believes in sharing ideas and interdisciplinary collaboration, which she passes on in her work on sustainable technologies at FashionTech.
Workshop #2
14:00-17:00
Are you interested in how artificial intelligence can shape our future, and do you want to explore its ethical implications? Join our playful and creative workshop focusing on speculative design and design fiction! This workshop is for both AI enthusiasts and developers who want to enrich their practice with new perspectives. Together we will explore the ethical aspects of AI using speculative and critical design methods. You will learn how to create and use design fictions as a tool for thinking critically about future scenarios. By the end of the workshop you will be able to apply these methods in your own work and bring new, innovative approaches to it. Come play with the future with us and discover how speculative design can be the key to ethically responsible AI development.
